B Square benefits Special Child Foundation

B Square benefits Special Child Foundation Port of Spain, Trinidad, February 19th, 2014 
 
The annual Soca in B Square live concert series brought Soca fever to Port of Spain and gave several persons who had not made it to any major fetes an opportunity to see the Carnival season’s top artistes in action. 
 
The event offers far more than entertainment. blink | bmobile uses Soca in B Square as an opportunity to play a role in the development of the nation’s youth by supporting initiatives dedicated to this goal. 
 
On the opening day of the 2014 edition of B Square and amidst the high-powered performances, blink | bmobile invited the Special Child Foundation to be a part of the event and to accept a contribution that would assist the NGO with all the positive work it undertakes towards the growth and advancement of our nation’s children with special needs. 
 
President of the Special Child Foundation, Chester Lakatoo was pleased to receive this donation from blink | bmobile and shared, “Our organization helps children who are underprivileged, dyslexic and with learning disabilities to develop the necessary skills to be able to function in society , so we are very pleased and thankful for this gesture from blink | bmobile. Because of contributions like this we are able to assist these children.”

Through our blink | bmobile Foundation we are constantly seeking ways to add value to the growth of our nation’s children. In this instance our aspiration is to also help to create more awareness about the Special Child Foundation and the meaningful, necessary work which the organization provides in T&T.” 
 
Present on this special day was Mayor of Port of Spain, Raymond Tim Kee who had a front row seat in the bmobile V.I.P. booth at Woodford Square to enjoy all of the onstage activity. As per usual, a throng of Soca fans came out to B Square and were thoroughly entertained by Monday’s performers Bunji Garlin, Fay-Ann and the Asylum Vikings with a special guest appearance by Calypso veteran Explainer. 
 
About Special Child Foundation
 
The Special Child Foundation is a NGO which works towards the overall development of Special Children in Trinidad and Tobago by assisting mentally challenged children via the provision of developmental therapy and by helping children with learning disabilities to become literate in the Primary School System. 
 
blink | bmobile’s Soca in B Square showcases the best of the Carnival season to the masses. The Company will also continue to not only utilize the Carnival season to bring entertainment to the public but to also bring awareness and support for causes that work with toward the positive advancement of the local youth.
