The new 2014 event ‘Live at the Hyatt-Rhythm Nation’ is an innovative show series which is positioned to change the way locals and foreigners alike get to enjoy T&T’s rich Carnival culture and where there is innovation and culture, corporate sponsor blink | bmobile is usually associated with it.

Produced by Event Managers Ltd. ‘Live at the Hyatt’ is a Carnival/Las Vegas-style show that appeals to the market of Carnival enthusiasts who yearn to absorb the season’s top entertainment but prefer not to do so in the throngs of a major ‘fete’ or Calypso Tent.

From the lively pre-show in the lobby of the Hyatt’s Conference Centre that showcased the talents of guitarist/vocalist Nigel Rojas and a pannist, to the 2-hour extravaganza featuring 6 of the Caribbean’s most renowned Soca artistes, guests are given one delightful surprise after another.

The intimate gathering got up close and personal with Calypso icon David Rudder, Soca music’s royal couple, Bunji Garlin and Fay Ann Lyons, the always entertaining Kees Dieffenthaller and Bacchanal Queen, Destra Garcia. Much to the crowd’s delight as well, was the appearance of Barbadian Soca stalwart Rupee who took all in attendance on a musical trip down memory lane.

The show blends several elements that make T&T’s Carnival a world-class festival i.e. rhythm, soul, dance and colour. Further emphasizing the Las Vegas style execution of the show, the artistes dynamic performances were accompanied by live dancers, special effects, a spectacular lighting show and a rousing sound system.

To add to the completeness of the experience blink | bmobile also had some traditional Carnival characters of their own, including a Fancy Sailor and a Dame Lorraine.

“blink | bmobile enjoys supporting projects that grow and expand the Carnival experience. Live at Hyatt is a fantastic innovation for promoting the culture in a way that lifts the caliber of the entertainment and we are glad to support this unique event,” said Natasha Davis, Executive Vice President Marketing for blink | bmobile.
