Blink/Bmobile kick starts C2K13 at Soka in Moka

Last weekend cultural sponsor Blink/Bmobile commenced their annual T&T Carnival support and sponsorship efforts at one of the most beloved first fetes for the season “Soka in Moka”.

As usual the organizers offered a sizeable food and beverage spread for the various guests in attendance which included Minister of Sport Anil Roberts, former Miss Trinidad and Tobago Universe La Toya Woods and sportscaster Joel Villifana.

Amidst several trips to the many food stalls and bars, patrons also frequented the Blink/Bmobile booth in order to interact with the friendly costumed brand ambassadors, view the latest smart phone and tablet devices and of course obtain the obligatory Blink/Bmobile branded Carnival cups and rags.

Soka in Moka brought forward a supreme cast of live entertainment such as Dil-E-Nadan, Benjai, Kerwin Dubois, Patrice Roberts, Iwer George, Kes the Band, and The Roy Cape All-stars. Also making a surprise appearance was the power couple of the Soca industry, Bunji Garlin and Fay Ann Lyons-Alvarez who delivered their C2K13 hits much to the crowd’s delight.

This year the all-inclusive event which marked its 14th edition was dedicated to the memory of Trinity College alumnus Norris Campbell.

The fete is a major source of funding for the upkeep and the upgrade of the college’s facilities as well as for educational programmes offered at the school.

Following the successful launch of its 4G network in 2012, Blink/Bmobile will be present in several cultural events and elements during this season leading up to the ‘Greatest Show on Earth’ which include fetes, Calypso, Soca, and Pan. For Carnival 2013 the network will utilize all its resources and technology to add to our nation’s already thriving creative sector and to the general patron experience.
