Bmobile Bzone introduces free 4G data in Tobago

Bmobile’s hugely successful BZONE with free 4G data has touched down in Tobago with the commissioning of the first two sites located at the Scarborough Ferry Terminal and at the Lowlands Mall. The sites were put in service today, Friday 17th August.

Since the bmobile launched its Bzone service in Trinidad just over two months ago, the project has seen the month to month growth in users exceed 200%, reaching almost 10,000 persons signing on every day.

The Bzones are special WiFi networks with expansive “hot zone” coverage developed by Bmobile to provide data services at 4G speeds in popular locations across the country. The service is Free to Bmobile and Blink Broadband customers who use their existing customer credentials to log on for fast Internet access. To date 41 locations throughout Trinidad and Tobago have been activated.

The usage of the Bzones has been growing exponentially as bmobile seems to have tapped in to demand for easily accessible and pocket-friendly data services. The demand is driven by the growing number of persons using smart phones and tablets that enable users to enjoy all the benefits of browsing the Internet or doing business while away from their home or office.

The Scarborough Ferry Terminal and Lowlands mall sites in Tobago are the first of several sites that are being developed in the sister isle so that Blink broadband and bmobile customers and visitors can complement their existing service with free 4G data at popular locations around the island.
