"In recognizing the impact of digital transformation from an economic as well as a national development perspective, TSTT has embarked on a technology leadership roadmap that will ensure that Trinidad and Tobago is ready for a digital world in which the benefits will redound to every business and every citizen" said Rakesh Goswami, TSTT's Executive Vice President - Strategic Alliance, Enterprise and Tobago Operations.  The occasion was the opening ceremony of the 2018 Trade and Investment Convention (TIC) which will be held at the Centre of Excellence, Tunapuna from the 5th to 8th of this month.  He was addressing the 250 participants from 29 countries who would be taking part in this year's TIC, as well as government ministers, board directors and senior business executives from local and regional public and private sectors.

The telecommunications sector continues to be one of most dynamic industries globally with rapid changes, particularly in technology.   Goswami noted that the 2018 TIC theme "New Horizons, New Opportunities" fits well with TSTT's transformation strategy which uses technology as an enabler to drive business efficiency and efficacy.   In this regard, the telecommunications provider has already began to deliver on a number of transformative programs to ensure that both the business community and citizens will benefit from this new digital future, including artificial intelligence, robotics and Big Data analytics.

In the area of Data Center services, TSTT offers a range of world-class hosted solutions to the business community such as public and private cloud solutions, disaster recovery and virtual data centers along with Software as a Service (SaaS).  The high quality of the Data Centers are also guaranteed by its TIA-942-B and SOC 2 certifications which place TSTT among the top data centers in the world.  TSTT is currently building out Tobago’s first Data Center in partnership with the Tobago House of Assembly at the Cove Ec0-Industrial and Business Park.

Goswami assured that TSTT will continue to move its technology and services in the direction that will support growth and development in the trade and investment community through the use of its first world technology and advanced telecommunication capabilities. "These technologies will support companies in becoming more competitive, facilitate diversification strategies and foster national development."
