Cellular Planet takes home Bmobile large dealer award

Trinidad - In the frontline of the intensely competitive mobile phone market they’ve been the commanders, and on Tuesday, December 16, bmobile held a special ceremony to honour and reward their achievements. Between January and November 2008, bmobile dealers did over 500,000 transactions covering new handset and pre-paid airtime sales as well as new account activations. In honour of the value they have added to bmobile’s reputation the dealers were celebrated at an awards dinner “Bmobile – Your Night to Shine”, held at Aura Restaurant, where the nation’s top bmobile dealers of 2008 were announced . According to Anthony Joseph, TSTT’s Executive Vice President Mobile Services, when the mobile market was opened to competition, it gave TSTT the opportunity to involve scores of local entrepreneurs in developing a modern marketing environment. “Mobile service is so ubiquitous you must serve customers at their point of need. We are therefore extremely pleased that our 70-plus dealers have earned the trust and respect of the public to the extend that they are seen as a dependable extension of bmobile,” said Joseph. For the dealers, it has been a beneficial learning process as well. “We are ecstatic with this award,” said Keithroy Halliday, General Manager of Cellular Planet, winners of the large category. “Last year we had to make adjustments. We were leaner and more focused. This award really signals that our efforts have been noted by TSTT. They’ve been an excellent partner to us.” Small category winners, Vasatec Trading Ltd, saw their award as especially significant. “I feel it’s a privilege and an honour, because TSTT is taking the time to recognise the smaller stores that contribute to their success.” commented Vasatec’s Russell Jitman. Let’s Talk Cellular Outlet was awarded the prize for Best Medium-Sized dealer while “Rookie of the year” award went to Reis Developers. Winners in the four categories - Rookie, Small, Medium and Large- won all expenses paid trips for two to Curacao’s Breezes All Inclusive Resort in addition to commemorative plaques
