Chief Operations Officer Bernard Mitchell Moves On

Roberto Peón, Chief Executive Officer TSTT, today announced that Bernard Mitchell, who has served as the Company’s Chief Operations Officer since 2004, will resign, effective 28 February 2007, to explore alternative career options.

“Bernard Mitchell has been an integral part of TSTT’s senior leadership team as our Chief Operations Officer, and I commend his dedicated service to the company”, said Peon. “In the short time that I have known him, I have found him to be the consummate professional. I wish him continued success in his future endeavors.”

Mitchell started in the then TELCO as a Trainee Technician and moved up to his current position having completed both his BSc and MSc in Electrical Engineering and his MBA while at TSTT.

“He is recognized by his peers as having made a tremendous contribution to the organization and we remain profoundly grateful to him for his twenty seven years service in this important leadership position during a time of tremendous organization transformation” said Edghill Messiah, Vice President - Human Resources and Administration.

Mr. Mitchell said of his tenure, “For the past 27 years, I have had the privilege to work with an extraordinary team of talented and dedicated men and women. I am proud to have been part of TSTT’s accomplishments during this period. I wish the company the very best of success as they continue to play a critical role in building Trinidad and Tobago.”
