Port of Spain, Trinidad January 7th 2014

Two lucky Homes in Tobago were the recipients of free Medstar Service for a year courtesy
blink | bmobile. The St. Vincent de Paul Home for the Aged located in Mason Hall and the Sylphil Home In Love at Lambeau were happy to receive this service, which has already been installed and is fully functional. Manager Sales Fixed Voice, Alicia David-Bynoe flew up from Trinidad on Monday to personally meet the caretakers at the Homes, and to see and explore firsthand the potential for the product to improve the environment. “This will assist caretakers in caring for their charges and will also give an added sense of security in times of emergency,” said Mrs. Bynoe.

Noting that elderly persons have unique ailments which can suddenly become debilitating and require immediate and expert attention, the Medstar Service will allow for, quick and reliable access to proper care. This will be a first response for these persons. For children, the Service is also useful as they can call 800-STAR to speak to a registered nurse in Canada who will guide them through the necessary treatment needed. Persons will also be advised as to whether they should also seek their nearest doctor,” Mrs. Bynoe said.

Mrs. David-Bynoe in meeting with the Homes, expressed the fact that bmobile, has a full suite of products which allow technology to make the lives and activities of everyday people, easier, safer and more accessible. The donation of this free service to the two Homes was just another way in which blink | bmobile continues to give back to its community, in this case in Tobago.

At the Sylphil Home in Love, manager Susan Phillips-Jack said, this early Christmas present came at a time when it was greatly needed. She further stated, “As you know, at Christmas there is a lot of activity at the Home and accidents do happen, especially when cleaning and ensuring that everything is ready for Christmas Day. We are indeed happy for this service.”
