TSTT Pan in the 21st Century defending champion Silver Stars will be the first conventional band to take the stage at the 2003 finals on Saturday 26th April.  The band drew first position at a media briefing hosted by TSTT and Pan Trinbago.  Woodbrook Modernaires will lead the single pan bands in the TSTT Pan Down Memory Lane competition which also takes place on the same night.  Twelve conventional steel bands and twelve single pan bands will compete in the joint finals of the TSTT Pan in the 21st Century and Pan Down Memory Lane from 7 pm at the Queen's Park Savannah.

"TSTT's involvement in the sponsorship of Pan in the 21st Century dates back to the very first event in 1998, " noted Mr. Cedric Cole, TSTT's General Manager for Business and Residential Services. " A year later TSTT took sole sponsorship of the event.  Since TSTT's initial involvement, we have invested almost TT$2 million in this programme," he added.

For 2003, a record number of bands participated in the preliminaries; 34 conventional steel bands and 26 single pan bands.
