The four-day leadership programme which is being hosted by The Sports Desk, is entitled "Our Heroes, Their Stories” and will be officially opened by Minister of Sport and Youth Affairs, Gary Hunt.

Over 150 students will hear from several of the country's icons on various topics, including leadership, beauty and inspiration. Among the facilitators are Miss World 1986, Giselle La Ronde West, Don La Foucade, Jehue Gordon, Anil Roberts, Ria Ramnarine, Russell Latapy, Brian Lewis and national calypso monarch Kurt Allen.

The students will also have an opportunity to win sports equipment and apparel, personally autographed by Brian Lara, Daren Ganga, Dwight Yorke and Russel Latapy.

“Sport is one of the key mechanisms through which the TSTT Foundation works to develop our young people. This symposium is exactly the kind of initiative that we at the TSTT Foundation seek to support,” stated Camille Salandy, TSTT’s Head of Public Relations and External Affairs.

The TSTT Foundation is investing $150,000 in this initiative. The Foundation was started in 2005 and has as its main theme youth development particularly in the areas of education, sport, culture and health.
