The stage is set to determine which team will walk away with the 2014 T10 Community Cricket League (CCL) championship at this week's semi-final and final matches at the Avidesh Samaroo Endeavour Cricket Ground in Chaguanas. The T10 CCL is an initiative of CCN TV6 in partnership with blink | bmobile, First Citizens, Trinidad Cement Limited and Kentucky Fried Chicken. Organized into (4) groups, (16) teams from communities across Trinidad & Tobago have been battling for the top honours during the preliminary matches of the last (3) weeks.

The 1st semi-final match will feature the winners of Groups A and B on Thursday October 16th and the 2nd semi-final match will pitch the winners of Groups C and D against each other on Saturday October 18th. The T10 CCL champions will be decided at the grand final on Sunday October 19th 2014 when the winner semi-final 1 plays the winner of semi-final 2. All semi-final and final matches commence at 8pm.

The Canaan Bon Accord Enforcers is the only Tobago team in the T10 CCL and the 1st Tobago team to play in the national north championships in Trinidad. With the average age of the team at 25 to 35 years, the Enforcers have been very successful in the T10 CCL. They have shown incredible form by winning 3 out of 3 matches in the preliminary stages to emerge unbeaten in Group C. During their 3rd and final group C match, the Tobago team played against the Cunupia Ospreys and bowled and batted their way to a tournament best of (147) for the loss of (3) wickets with a 92-run win.

The team from the sister isle is no stranger to success having won multiple titles in the Tobago Cricket Association's 40-overs and 20-20 Domestic Leagues over the years. Their opening batsman Joel Boyce holds the national record for the highest individual score by any Tobagonian - 300 not out. Their youngest team member, 19-year old Shaquille Duncan, also plays in the under-19 tournament and is the leading run scorer in the tournament with 91 runs. Duncan also holds the top score of 67 not out in this tournament. The Canaan Bon Accord Enforcers will go forward to the semi-final stage and will play in the semi-final 2 match on Saturday October 18th against winners of Group D, Charlieville Same Side.

30-year old Marcus Daniel is the captain of the Canaan Bon Accord Enforcers and also captain of the Tobago Senior Cricket Team. Speaking during a telephone interview from the Canaan Bon Accord Recreation Ground where they practice, Daniel shared how proud he was of his team's performance over the years and in the T10 CCL. He said "This will be the 1st time our cricketers will be playing to a live audience. Our main objective is to showcase our talent to Trinidad and Tobago. Tobago has a lot of talented players but only (1) Tobagonian, Navin Stewart, is on the T&T national team. We will show that Tobago does have cricketers that can play at the highest level. We are hoping once we are seen, we will receive calls for more contracts and get more of our players unto the national team."

Daniel continued "I must commend our Manager, Michael Alexander, our Coach, John Boyce and our team members. Their hard work and dedication has gotten us this far. We bowled and batted well and we intend to continue putting our best foot forward. Our immediate goal is to win our semi-final match on Saturday and be crowned CCL champions on Sunday."
