TSTT cuts rates for Blackberry wireless Internet data

With the worldwide launch of the BlackBerry CURVE handset, TSTT has announced a 24% rate reduction for unlimited access to browsing, emailing, buzz and other online content accessed via its BlackBerry service.

“These users represent a growing market of people whose on-line presence is managed through the versatile and robust BlackBerry platform” says Camille Campbell, TSTT’s Head of Mobile Marketing. The sleek, feature-rich handsets can be used virtually anywhere especially when away from the home or office. “The ease and convenience of BlackBerry service has made it a significant contributor to Internet usage as more companies, small business owners and professionals are opting for its ‘information-on-the-go’ capabilities.”

In addition to cutting its rates for unlimited service from $260 to $199 per month, TSTT has also introduced a $99 package that allows users up to 5 megabits of data per month. “One megabit is equivalent to approximately 500 to 1000 emails per month so we believe our 5 megabit package will suit the medium to low user perfectly.”

The new service offerings were developed to coincide with the launch of the BlackBerry Curve 8300 smartphone, the smallest and lightest BlackBerry smartphone ever to come with a full QWERTY keyboard. The BlackBerry Curve’s features include a camera, a media player, expandable memory, Voice Activated Dialing, tethered modem and trackball navigation. “TSTT endeavours to give local businesses and entrepreneurs the best competitive edge and an important part of that is working closely with RIM/BlackBerry to ensure that our customers have access to the best technology available” said Campbell.
