TSTT & Police foil cable bandits

Quick work by residents, TSTT security and the police foiled a cable theft in Central Trinidad today Wednesday, May 24. At 1:00 a.m. some TSTT cables were cut at Milton Village, Couva – an area which has been hard-hit by cable thieves and whose residents have become more vigilant as a result of TSTT’s community outreach campaign.

Through the combined efforts of the residents, TSTT security and the police, a vehicle containing the stolen cables was located and impounded at the Couva Police Station. The thieves managed to escape but the police are continuing investigations.

TSTT commends the courageous residents of Milton Village, TSTT security personnel and the Couva Police for their vigilance and swift response to the cable theft, which led to the recovery of the stolen cables. TSTT is confident this partnership will continue to bear fruit and put a major dent in this criminal activity.
