TSTT supports 11th Caribbean Cuboree

As part of its ongoing support for the youth, TSTT provided financial and other assistance to the 11th Caribbean Cuboree which took place recently in Trinidad.

The Cuboree is a gathering of cub scouts from various countries for eight to ten days, during which the boys can widen their outlook, experience different cultures and foster lasting friendships.

About 1,300 cubs and leaders have been participating in the current Caribbean Cuboree and the activity was based at the Chaguanas Senior Comprehensive School and the adjacent Chaguanas Junior Secondary School.

One of their field trips took them to the Chaguaramas Military History and Aviation Museum and it was the perfect outing for the boys to use a gift from bmobile – a handy backpack, a traditional accessory for cub scouts.

Camille Salandy, TSTT’s Manager of Corporate Communications, said: “TSTT welcomed this opportunity to support this wholesome and character-building activity, knowing what a positive role the Cub Scout movement can play in the development of these boys and how it can help shape the men they become.”
