TSTT is pleased to sponsor a new event in the popular Tobago Heritage Festival, as part of its continued support for the culture of T&T. Titled “Pan Folkarama”, it will be held on Friday, July 28 at the Dwight Yorke Stadium car park, Bacolet, from 8 p.m. This latest addition takes the form of a pan concert featuring 11 steelbands (conventional and single-pan). Each band will play three pieces – the theme song of the Festival, a Tobago folk song and a vintage calypso.

Additionally, as the company marks its 16th year of support for the Tobago Heritage Festival, TSTT has extended its sponsorship to include “Games We Used To Play”, a presentation of the people of Mason Hall on Sunday, July 30. From 1.30 p.m. at the Mason Hall Recreation Ground, residents will demonstrate some of Tobago’s traditional games, like marbles, bat and ball, greasy pole, etc.

The idea is to generate interest among younger Tobagonians about some of the games their parents and grandparents enjoyed in their youth – and to allow older folk to relive their childhood days by participating in the event.  TSTT congratulates the organizers of the Tobago Heritage Festival, and is committed to offering continued support for the culture of Trinidad and Tobago.
