TSTT supports TTARP 5k Walk/Run

October 2006

The 4th Annual 5K of the T&T Association of Retired Persons (TTARP) was the best yet thanks to TSTT, according to TTARP administrative supervisor Denise Joseph. “They did so much for us,” declared Joseph, who made special mention of the 500 t-shirts supplied by TSTT for the entrants in the 5K Walk/Run, which took place on October 28, 2006.

In addition, as one of the main sponsors this year, TSTT contributed $15,000 to the success of the event and provided three mobile handsets as prizes. TTARP aims to host an event each month for its members, their families and friends – and the 5K is fast becoming an annual fixture. This year, the start/finish was on Dundonald Street, Port of Spain, and Joseph said about 425 persons participated, ranging in age from six years to 70-plus.“It was great!” she remarked.

TSTT’s Chief Operations Officer, Bernard Mitchell said the company was pleased to help enrich the lives of an important segment of the population who, as retired persons, have made and continue to make valuable contributions to society.
