TSTT & TECU collaboration

8 September, 2006

The 22,000 members of the TECU Credit Union Co-operative Society Ltd will benefit from an innovative collaboration between the credit union and Telecommunications Services of Trinidad and Tobago Ltd (TSTT).

In celebration of TECU’s 60th anniversary, TSTT has partnered with the credit union to assist its members in attaining their personal and business goals by offering them discounted rates on Mobile packages, Wireless Broadband and High Speed Internet Access.

TSTT Manager of Corporate Communications, Camille Salandy, stated: “Future-driven companies like TSTT and TECU are required to raise the bar by developing easier ways for customers to transact business with them. This is a significant milestone for both companies because we are both focused on delivering consistently high levels of service to customers.”

The move is also in keeping with TSTT’s commitment to making modern telecommunications services more accessible to people throughout Trinidad and Tobago. The TECU member packages – which will attract corporate rates – will be launched on Monday, September 11 at TECU’s Head Office in Marabella, and on Tuesday, September 12 at its Couva branch.

Sandra Matthews-Noel, TECU Hon. Secretary, said: “To celebrate our 60th diamond jubilee, TECU Credit Union Co-operative Society Ltd is pleased to offer another bonus to our precious members. TECU and TSTT have teamed up to provide an exclusive TECU members’ package, yet another reason why TECU remains a leader. Together, TECU and TSTT are standing the test of time.”

TECU Business Development Officer, Denise Julien-Stoute, noted that many of TECU’s members were self-employed and would benefit from the lower bmobile rates in the packages, and also be able to access other telecommunications services, which would previously have been out of their financial reach. She added that TECU’s younger members would welcome the discounted rate for TSTT’s High Speed Internet Access.
