TSTT/bmobile partner with UWI Guild

TSTT / bmobile is continuing to lead the way in making technology an integral part of youth education with the signing of its third consecutive annual sponsorship agreement with the UWI Guild of Students (St Augustine Campus).

In addition to a cash sponsorship, TSTT’s will also provided the Guild with mobile communications gear and will lend its marketing and promotions know-how to help the Guild with other fundraising initiatives.

“It was important for us to make this relationship expose young leaders to how the corporate world revolves. The campus has a community of fifteen thousand students with diverse interests who are all represented by the Guild. We want to help them achieve greater success fulfilling the demands of this complex and intense market space” said Lisa Agard, TSTT’s Vice President Legal.

Recently elected Guild President Natasha Grimes was elated with the agreement noting that the University needed to prepare students with more real world experiences. “The Guild’s collaboration with a dynamic orgnisation like TSTT./bmobile would certainly bring long lasting benefits to students. The commitment they have demonstrated to the Guild and by extension students in general have made them important role model.”

The Guild has a busy itinerary of activities in the year ahead and TSTT/bmobile will sponsor and play a key role in many of the events targeted at the student body. These include the Mr. and Ms UWIverse competition, football and cricket tournaments, Caribbean Week, Campus Carnival as well as the Guild Lecture Series, charity events and other academic incentives organized and executed by the Guild of Students 2007/2008.
