The best part? It’s free!
bmobile has taken things up a notch in 2024 launching its first ever b Square in Tobago as it seeks to spread the festive vibes. Headlining the music affair at the Esplanade in Scarborough on January 30, is soca sensation Nailah Blackman, bmobile’s newest brand ambassador, who congratulated the company for always embracing the essence of inclusivity. “When I was a little girl. I remember going to my first b Square and seeing moko jumbies and having cotton candy and snow cones. It was something that was not only for adults, but for kids, for families, for anybody just passing by who maybe didn’t have the means to actually go to an event for Carnival, bmobile was bringing Carnival to them. So b Square is really important to the entire structure of Carnival. I’m excited to perform. I’m excited to be a part of it and people should come out and support because it’s the spirit of Carnival,” said Blackman.
The venue is set to come alive from 4pm till 8pm with riveting performances from some of soca’s best including Lyrikal, Adanna Balfour, Iwer George, Farmer Nappy, Kerwin Dubois and Tobago’s very own Shurwayne Winchester. The artistes will be backed by the A Team Band. The fun then heads to Trinidad on February 1 at the heartbeat of Carnival, Port-of-Spain, now recognised as a UNESCO-designated City of Music. From 10am-1:30pm, Woodford Square will be the place to be with live performances starting from 11:30am featuring Blackman, GBM Nutron, Iwer George, Lyrikal, Farmer Nappy and Kerwin Dubois.
Commenting on the upcoming concert, TSTT’s Assistant General Manager, Consumer Sales (Ag.) stated, "b Square is more than just a musical event; it's a celebration of our vibrant culture, a platform for community engagement, and an opportunity to bring people of all ages, races and social backgrounds together.
