The Trinidad and Tobago Chamber of Industry and Commerce's annual Champions of Business (COB) Awards serves as a testament to the unwavering commitment of the Chamber and its partners to recognising and applauding exceptional achievements in the local business community. This year, the organisation has chosen the theme of Titans and Trailblazers to honour and recognise businesses of all sizes and industries in T&T.

The 2023 Champions of Business Awards was recently launched at the Chamber's headquarters with nominations having opened on 25th May 2023. The categories for this year include:

• SME Award
• Innovation Award
• Green Agenda Award
• Entrepreneurship Award
• Breakthrough Exporter of the Year Award
• Internationally Known, T&T-owned Company of the Year Award
• And the prestigious and celebrated Business Hall of Fame Induction

bmobile Business returns as the title sponsor for the Innovation Award for the sixth consecutive year. The award, which was launched in 2018 and originally called the Business Technology Award, was rebranded in 2023 to the Innovation Award. This award is intended to recognise the significant role innovation plays in transforming our economy by celebrating a company or individual who has provided innovative solutions or services for new and existing market needs. The Innovation Award focuses on the pioneering use of technology to increase productivity and result in a measurable improvement for customers, clients and businesses.

Darryl Duke, Assistant General Manager of Business Sales at TSTT stated, "Innovation is key for bmobile not just as a company but also in the work that we do to support the SMEs in T&T in their own drive to innovate, survive tough times and thrive in the coming years. We are proud to support this Innovation Award once again to reward the vision and determination of businesses in T&T and create a more unified business community, one connection at a time," Duke affirmed.

Ayleen Alleyne-Ovid, Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Trade and Industry, highlighted that 'the Government of Trinidad and Tobago has an important role in assisting firms to grow and expand through policies and programmes.' "We are in the process of establishing conditional offices and cultural attachés at various diplomatic missions around the world including Guyana, Jamaica, Panama, US, UK, South Africa and China," Alleyne-Ovid revealed. She added,” The Ministry would like to congratulate all nominees who will be identified this year as we continue to support agents of hope and change like the Champions of Business Awards."

Through the COB Awards programme and other initiatives, bmobile Business aims to inspire entrepreneurs, innovators and business owners to reach new heights of success and foster a culture of excellence in Trinidad and Tobago's corporate landscape.
